MMC-TV: Idea Journey – Amy Wert, Inventor. From Idea to Product

Sylvia interviews Amy Wert, Inventor of A Little Pop of Color.

The original idea for “A Little POP of Color” came to Amy Wert on a hot, humid Washington DC morning in July 2009. The knit sundress she wanted to wear was a little too low cut to be “appropriate”, but the only cami she had was hot, bulky and created a bulge where the bottom of it ended. Frustrated, she searched the internet looking for something that would give her the coverage she needed without creating yet another layer of clothing to keep tucked in and smoothed down. What she found was the few products that were out there were very over-priced and mainly available in only white, black and tan.

Thinking there was no reason a cami couldn’t be affordable AND fun, she decided to create a product that would meet all of her needs. Thus, A Little POP of Color was born!

This interview is an episode of Sylvia’s program “Think About It!” on MMC-TV Channel 16, Montgomery County MD.
